contribute
Offers the change on a module's branch upstream, as a pull request.
pnpm dist contribute <name> [--base <branch>] [--no-push]
Pushed fix-login.
Pinned commit kept on acme-core, which outlives the pull request's branch.
Opened https://github.com/fairgarden/id/pull/42
For a fork, the branch is pushed to the fork and the pull request opened against upstream; the fork's distribution branch moves up to the same commit, since that is what the distribution pins and the pull request's branch is deleted once merged. For a module you can push to, both go to its own repository.
Once the pull request is open its link is known, so it prints the line the module's changelog check wants, under the top section, link filled in. The words are yours, and review's:
Its changelog check wants a line in apps/id/CHANGELOG.md, under 1.7.0. The words are yours:
- What this changes, for someone using it ([#42](https://github.com/fairgarden/id/pull/42))
Commit it on the branch and push, then run this again to keep the pin current.
The distribution's changelog notes the change by the pull request's title, linking it; without one, by the commit's subject, linking the commit.
The checkout has to be on a branch, other than the one the pull request goes
into, with nothing uncommitted. The pull request is opened with gh, filled
from the commits; without it, or off GitHub, you get the link to open it by hand.
